Tom Stapleton

Born in Sussex in 1980, Tom was educated at Hurstpierpoint College, and was made Head Chorister in his final year. He completed his music degree at Colchester Institute, during which time he played leading roles in a variety of operatic productions, ranging from Dido & Aeneas to Yeoman of the Guard. Tom then continued his advanced studies in London with the internationally renowned teacher and performer Colin Baldy.

He has worked with a number of professional chamber choirs performing both internationally and at a number prestigious venues across the U.K including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Usher Hall and The Royal Albert Hall. He has also recorded at most of the major London studios with work ranging from Opera to West end cast recordings.

Tom works with Hand Made Opera as an education and technical officer, as well as performing in their productions. He runs singing workshops and choral days for children who’s schools do not provide the musical education and cultural awareness that they deserve.

As well as performing a great deal of classical music, Tom also runs a 9 piece Soul Band called Soul Collective who perform all over the country for a variety of events.
