We are delighted to announce the appointment of our first President. Lord Petre, the Lord Lieutenant of Essex, has graciously agreed to be the first imcumbent of this position.  The Lord Leutenant is already associated with several local organisations such as:  Brentwood Arts Council; Brentwood Shakespeare Company and Ingatestone and Fryerning Horticultural Society (to name just a few), and we are delighted to welcome him to this role of ambassador for the Maldon Festival of Arts.

We are also very pleased to announce that John Whittingdale MP, the Member of Parliament for Maldon and East Chelmsford, will be joining James Bowman CBE, John Doubleday and Sarah Walker CBE as a festival patron.  John Wittingdale MP, is also currently president of the Maldon District Chamber of Commerce and the Maldon Branch of the Parkinson’s Disease Society (amongst other things) and we are extreneky grateful for his continued support
