After much consideration we have decided to move the dates for this year's Maldon Festival of Arts.  The fvestival will now take place from 27th May - 4th July and will run on a format similar to the first festival in 2008 where most of the events take place over the weekends.  This will be five weekends in total.

As a result the first event of the festival will be the highly successful “Shakespeare in the Park,” (who has also brought their show forward) running from Thursday 27th May – Saturday 29th.  This year you will get the opportunity to see The Winter’s Tale in the Amphitheatre.  Please visit the Mactheatre Website for more details.

The main reason for the change in dates is to accommodate other events taking place throughout the summer, The FIFA World Cup being a very good example.  And although we can’t avoid clashing with anything else we believe the new dates will allow an opportunity for more people to enjoy the events they wish to attend.

We already have several events lined up for this year.  We will be releasing details of these over the next couple of weeks so please keep an eye on the “Latest News” section of the website for details as they become available.  Or become a fan on Facebook to receive alerts in News Feed when this section is updated.

And as if this wasn’t enough news for one day we can also confirm There is still at least one more event in the Winter Season due to take place in March.  More details coming soon.
