Emma Penfold, Violin & Christopher Weston, Piano

Emma Penfold trained at the Royal Academy of Music under Rosemary Rapaport. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance violinist with, among others, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Moscow Ballet, The English String Orchestra, English Sinfonia, D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, European Chamber Opera, English Festival Opera, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Oxford Orchestra and the Oxford Philomusica. Emma has toured with Nigel Kennedy and Pavaroti and regularly plays the solo violin part in the West End musical Blood Brothers. Emma has lived in Maldon since 2000 and teaches violin at The Plume and Widford Lodge schools. She is leader of the Blackwater Quartet
