Christopher WestonChristopher Weston studied performance and composition at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and musicology at Clare College, Cambridge. He made his concerto debut in 1996 in the London premiere of Phillip Marshall’s Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra at the Barbican Concert Hall. Past teachers include Susan Tomes, John Lill CBE, Paul Roberts, Joan Havill and Shelagh Sutherland. Christopher currently studies with Philip Fowke.

Christopher has been invited to perform at Kettle’s Yard and West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge; St. John’s, Smith Square, Trafalgar Studios, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and The Barbican, London; Bartok Concert Hall and Municipal Concert Hall, Hungary. His CD recordings of the staple classical piano repertoire now feature regularly on BBC TV broadcasts.

Most recently Christopher performed Franck’s Symphonic Variations and Litollf’s Concerto Symphonique No. 4 with the Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as giving recitals at Bishop’s Stortford College and St. Johns ARC, Harlow. Future performances include Saint-Saens’ ‘Carnival of the Animals’ (March 3rd, Felsted School) plus an evening recital of ‘exotic’ music featuring works by Rameau, Debussy, Godowsky and Kapustin among others (May 7th Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford, box office 01245 606505).
